Building partnerships across Arizona to expand education, research and care.
As part of Arizona’s land-grant university, the University of Arizona Heath Sciences engages some of the most pressing public health problems affecting the state.

Community Engagement Alliance
The overarching goal of the Arizona Community Engaged alliance is to conduct community-engaged research and outreach to increase COVID-19 awareness and education among communities disproportionately affected by COVID-19 and to reduce misinformation and mistrust.

Office of Student Engagement and Career Advancement
We support workforce development efforts for students, faculty and staff at our six U of A Health Sciences colleges and initiate, coordinate and evaluate new programs to create a comprehensive network of student-centered initiatives.

Health and Humanities
In the ever-changing world of science and medicine, developing critical thinking skills through engaging curricula and studying the arts and humanities can help our medical, nursing, pharmacy, health sciences and public health students maintain balance and develop resiliency, self-awareness and open communication — qualities essential to a successful career.

Rural Health
In the United States, 1 in 5 people live in rural areas, where they face unique challenges when it comes to health care. We are dedicated to improving the health and wellness of Arizona’s rural and underserved populations through research, education, training and outreach programs that address ongoing and emerging rural health needs.

Corporate and Community Relations
Community engagement begins with you – the residents, city and civic organizations, and businesses who call our surrounding communities home. By creating strong networks that intersect with the U of A Health Sciences programs and people working to make Arizonans healthier, we have an incredible advantage in improving the health and well-being of individuals throughout the state.
